A SAN HQ server collects the logs from the Equallogic SANs and spit out info and pretty graphs back to the user.

Recently we had decommissioned a server where SAN HQ had resided, and although I had installed it on a new server. The old server was still displaying in SAN HQ

When I would go to remove it, the option would be grayed out..

I spent a bit more time figuring out the issue than I should have. But oh well, now I know.

The answer is that the old server is still the “Default” SAN HQ Server. So after I make the new server the Default server…

Then I can remove the old one
