A SAN HQ server collects the logs from the Equallogic SANs and spit out info and pretty graphs back to the user.
Recently we had decommissioned a server where SAN HQ had resided, and although I had installed it on a new server. The old server was still displaying in SAN HQ
When I would go to remove it, the option would be grayed out..
I spent a bit more time figuring out the issue than I should have. But oh well, now I know.
The answer is that the old server is still the “Default” SAN HQ Server. So after I make the new server the Default server…
Then I can remove the old one
